Installation Guide
Follow these steps to set up your MAVP-B2 media player:
Step A: Connect to Your Sound System
- Insert the 3.5mm stereo plug into the audio jack on the MAVP-B2 player.
- Connect the red/white RCA connectors to the corresponding audio zone(s) for your speaker system. The white cable is for Zone 1 audio and the red cable is for Zone 2.
Step B: Power On the Device
- Plug the power adapter into the MAVP-B2 media player and connect it to an always-on outlet. Only use the power supply that came included with your player. Using another power supply may cause unexpected behavior.
- Do not use an outlet controlled by a switch or timer.
Step C: Connect to Your Network
- Plug one end of the Ethernet cable into the MAVP-B2 player.
- Connect the other end to your network router/switch.
- Once connected, the LED status light will remain solid red. If the light changes, refer to the LED Status Guide.
Alternatively, the player can be connected via Wifi. Follow the steps in the video below to connect the player to WiFi.
This video provides instructions on connecting a Mood Harmony MAVP-B2 media player to a Wi-Fi network using the dedicated Mood Harmony mobile application on the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. The process begins with pairing the device with the app, which can be done either by using a mobile key or by entering the device’s serial number.
Please make sure your MAVP-B2 unit is in hotspot mode (red LED stays on for 2s then briefly flashes off). Note: you can manually put your device in hotspot mode by pressing the SVC button 3 times (can take up to 30s for LED status to change).
Once paired, the app allows the user to select their desired Wi-Fi network and input the corresponding password. The application then sends this network information to the media player, enabling it to connect to the internet. A solid red LED on the device confirms a successful connection, and the player will then begin automatically playing content.
Step D: Adjust Volume and Verify Playback
- Turn on your speaker system and gradually increase the volume to your desired level.
- After 1-3 minutes, music and/or messaging should start playing.
- If no sound is heard, check that your sound system is powered on and at an audible volume level.
